The restaurant favour...

How annoying. Your employer’s expenses policy states that you can't claim for alcoholic drinks, but there's a nice bottle of Rioja on the wine list. A quick chat with the friendly waiter confirms that the receipt will only show 'food' on the final statement – perfect! Of course to thank the waiter a generous tip is in order, which we can expense as well.

The Restaurant Favour is an interesting one to find, because on the face of it a claim for a meal will look legitimate. Where the claimant gets lazy though is that the receipt rarely contains any drinks at all – it’s very unusual for anybody not to take any liquid with a meal. The receipt will also show 'food' only without any detail and may appear in the lavish league in terms of cost.
